Podcasts

It's Saturday but I couldn't wait to share with you my latest discovery... Podcasts. A podcast (I found out) is a series of digital media files, either audio or video, that is released episodically and downloaded through the web. You can find them everywhere about everything. Check here for the BBC ones.
Well...definitely this is the best way of improving your listening. Have fun!

Welcome to the 7th grade!

As promised I leave you here a number of really interesting links for you to practice your English skills. To improve your reading skills and if you like to be informed you can check the UK Newspapers online. For those who wish to find some lyrics or read about music or poetry you have PoemHunter.Com and for all sorts of English classic short stories click here.

For listening go to the Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab. This lab is mainly designed for self-directed study, that is, you choose what topic and level you want to study and then begin.

To improve your language use skill, go to the link on the right and if you really enjoy or want to try interactive english exercises, follow this.

While organising materials and planning for the upcoming shool year, taking into account that the first theme we'll adress is "The World around us", I invite you to watch this video from the National Geographic site. It is a good introduction to the 1st topic - "global environmental threats"

Hello everyone!!

Here I am again and getting ready for the new school Year.
I'll be teaching 7th Graders and this blog is intended to provide them with some extra help on themes, vocabulary and language use in a motivating and less conventional way. I hope it can be possible.

From now on I'll be "talking" to YOU 7th Graders, so feel free to comment and make suggestions. All the others...Welcome!
